Impact
Northern Ghana loses thousands of hectares of forest yearly; our goal is to reverse this trend by restoring 500 hectares of degraded land by 2030.
- Rehabilitate forests across ~50 priority sites, planting ~500,000 native & agroforestry trees (≈1,000/ha) with a ≥70% seedling survival target.
- Achieve ~12,500 tCO₂e sequestered by 2030 (assumes ~5 tCO₂e/ha/yr), while reducing land degradation, heat stress, and dust.
- Create 800+ seasonal green jobs (nurseries, planting, maintenance), engage 1,000 farm households in agroforestry (e.g., shea, moringa, cashew), with ≥40% women & youth participation.
- Establish 100 km of firebreaks, form 50 community forest committees, and track progress via annual GIS/NDVI monitoring with a public impact dashboard.
